Definition

According to Regulation (EU) No 536/2014, a clinical trial is a research study conducted in human subjects with the objective of discovering or verifying the clinical, pharmacological, or other pharmacodynamic effects of one or more investigational medicinal products, identifying adverse reactions, or analyzing their absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion, with a view to determining their safety or efficacy.
